The town of Byala is a small health resort, which is situated 50 km south of Varna and 5 km north of Obzor, 45 min. driving from Varna international airport.
Byala is a town with ancient history. The first reports on settlers in this lands date from 6th century B.C. The settlement was located immediately to a well-known Roman road station and there was a Roman fortress around it. Some of the marble capitals in Corinth style have been walled in the the church “ The Assumption”.
Byala is completely turned to the sea. The seaview and the view toward Obzor make you hold your breath.
The town of Byala is a municipal center and it has approximately 2000 people. Tourism is developed very well. The presence of several beaches, the virgin forests in the vicinity , as well as the ancient historical tracks in the town make it an attractive destination for the tourists. Here hunting and fishing tourism is developing and in the neighbour villages rural tourism is developing.
In Byala`s surrounding area there are a lot of vineyards, so wine-production is well developed. All types of communications are available in the town, there is a post office, Internet, cable television, public transport, medical and dentist services. In Byala there is a large number of hotels, holiday homes, pubs, shops, schools, nursery schools, a church, a stadium, a community center, an ethnographic complex. An yacht port and aqua park are currentry being in process of building. A golf-court is planned to be built.
